The SR-1 Cup Holder is designed by an MG enthusiast for MG enthusiasts.  The cup holder will fit all MGBs and MGCs.
The HIGH-QUALITY SR-1 Cup Holder is solidly built from CNC-milled billet 6061 Aluminum, Black-Anodized or in a natural aluminum finish.
The cup holder is shipped with a button head cap screw to attach the rail bar to the cup and a thumb screw to attach to the adjustable seat rail.
The design of the cup holder complements the simplicity of the interior and does not intrude on the car’s interior yet allows the drink to be securely and functionally placed.

The SR-1:

  1. Attaches easily – in seconds with the twist of a thumb screw and is easily removed or moved to another location.
  2. Mounts in four different places.
  3. Places cups functionally for the driver and passenger – to the left of the leg, on the floor, or to the right next to the transmission hump.
  4. Does NOT hang on a door, so you can move in and out of the car freely
  5. Does NOT intrude on car’s aesthetics like plastic holders
  6. Does NOT encroach into the driver’s zone
  7. Does NOT restrict passenger access

The SR-1 is approximately 6”x 4” x 2-1/2” and weighs less than 6 oz with a large 3.0" diameter opening to allow for 12 oz cans, bottles and cups. It has a relief to fit your favorite mug with a finger grip.
I have driven MGs since the 60’s and have tried just about every aftermarket cup holder out there.  This is my solution and it works.  If you’ve been waiting for a quality cup holder for your MG, like I was, then look no further.

Drive your car! Have a soda or coffee without fear of spilling.

Please don’t disrespect your car’s beautiful interior with a cheap plastic Cup Holder

If you have a ’64 to ’67 steel dash MGB or C, check out our SD-1 cup holder for mounting to the bottom of the dash.  It works and looks great.

ASSEMBLING THE SR-1 CUP HOLDER

  1. Verify receipt of all components.
  2. Before assembling the cup holder, determine the preferred location to mount the cup holder. Slide the seat back as far as needed to give good access to the floor mounted seat adjustment rail. The cup holder tube will mount to the rail bar skewed to the left or right. The cup holder tube will mount to the rail bar at two different heights.  These options allow for the cup holder to be adjacent to the sill on the driver’s and passenger’s side or more inward on the floor. The other option is positioning next to the transmission hump or further inward. For slight adjustments, the rail bar can be positioned either on the inside of the floor mounted seat adjustment rail or outside.  The curved relief cut on the rail bar is to match the curvature of the cup holder tube and to clear the bolt on the floor mounted rail.  The two height positions allow for the tube to be flat on the floor or to clear thick coverings like carpet or Coco Mat floor mats.
  3. Once a location is determined to mount the cup holder and at what height, screw the tube to the rail bar with the provided 10-32 button head screw using a 1/8” allen wrench. The cup handle cut out should be up. The screw is accessed through this cut out.   Make sure the rail bar and cup tube are flush and the bar is parallel to the bottom of the tube.
  4. Mount the rail bar to the floor mounted seat adjustment rail. The same rails are used on both seats and have the adjustment stop holes in the same locations on the four bars.  The first hole is used to mount the rail bar. Position the rail bar with the offset end up and match the hole location.  Thread the thumb screw through the hole on the vertical flat and into the threaded hole in the rail bar. If mounting on the other side of the vertical piece the rail bar is tapped through and can be used either way. Secure the screw finger tight but snug.
  5. The seat adjustment should not be negatively affected. If the driver seat will not move forward enough, it may be necessary to only use the passenger’s seat location for two cup holders.
  6. Drive your car! Have a soda or coffee without fear of spilling.
